Information on Blue Card construction financing

What exactly is the EU Blue Card?

The EU Blue Card is a residence permit for university graduates and third-country nationals with special professional qualifications/experience, which is intended to simplify and promote the permanent immigration of highly qualified citizens from non-EU countries to Germany. This residence permit is usually valid for a period of 4 years.

What opportunities are there with/after the Blue Card?

If you have an EU Blue Card (Section 18g AufenthG), you can apply for a settlement permit in accordance with the simplified requirements of Section 18c para. 2 AufenthG and thus also apply for family reunification.

Requirements for the issue of the EU Blue Card

  • A university degree that is comparable to a German university degree.
  • Educational qualification with a training period of at least three years, which is comparable to a German master craftsman’s certificate, or was acquired in “educator professions”.
  • A concrete employment offer with a minimum duration of 6 months, which is appropriate to the respective training and an annual salary for 2024 of 45,300 euros gross. For shortage occupations (e.g. doctors, pharmacists and teachers), a gross annual salary of EUR 41,041.80 for 2024 is also sufficient.
  • Career starters can also receive the EU Blue Card if they obtained their last university or comparable degree no more than three years ago and have a concrete job offer with an annual gross salary of at least 41,041.80 euros (2024). This applies to career entry in all occupational groups. In addition, the approval of the Federal Employment Agency is required for the visa procedure.

How much equity is required for a BlueCard residence permit or a temporary residence permit?

The minimum equity is made up of the ancillary purchase costs. These are made up of the notary fees, land transfer tax and any estate agent fees. This means that we can usually provide 100 percent purchase price financing if the other circumstances are right.
